Installing LED CREE Down-lights and DMX512 Controller

Modified on Fri, 2 Jun, 2023 at 6:51 PM

Hi-Line Lighting supplies a selection of RGBW Down-Lights, which require very specific controllers in order to function. If picking up our 12W CREE bulbs, you must note that these are connected via RJ45 terminals, coming packed with an additional network cable plug and "T-BOX" for daisy-chaining.

These bulbs can only be powered via our DMX512 RJ45 LED Controller, which can comfortably carry 10 modules in sequence. A DMX master is required to then send dimming signals to the box.

If installing a single spot-light, this plugs directly into the DMX controller’s RJ45 port (see photo).

If multiple spot-lights are being daisy chained via the T-shape junction boxes, you must ensure to terminate your last connection point with a spotlight; DO NOT add another terminal link with spot-light attached, otherwise the entire chain of lights won’t work. (See photo below.)
